RetinaReload™ is the world’s first AI-driven, cartridge-based eye health platform designed specifically for screen-intensive users—gamers, coders, digital professionals, and individuals at genetic risk for macular and systemic ocular diseases.


The fully functional prototype was developed entirely in-house, combining advanced AI-based CAD modeling, high-resolution 3D printing, sensor integration, and BLE-enabled software. The result is a scalable, FDA-adaptable platform for non-invasive ocular and systemic screening via real-time sensor fusion and trend analysis.

  • Facial Mapping & Comfort Fit
    AI-driven modeling tools were used to create a universal-fit goggle frame that adapts to diverse craniofacial profiles, minimizes pressure points, and ensures light-tight coverage for sensor accuracy.
     
  • Optimized Sensor Layout
    Internal geometry was fine-tuned for precision placement of:
     
    • IR Thermal Sensor (MLX90640) – Maps ocular surface temperature
    • PPG Sensor (MAX86150) – Captures pulse wave and HRV
    • Pressure Sensor (MS5803) – Monitors vacuum seal and pump behavior
    • Blue/UV Sensor (VEML6075) – Tracks ambient light exposure risk
    • Proximity Sensor (VCNL4040) – Measures blink rate and pupil distance
       
  • Cartridge System Design
    A top-loading, lockable fluid cartridge system delivers a sterile saline-nutrient mix. The cartridge guides fluid through a mesh interface, ensuring clean, controlled hydration.

    Polycarbonate shells, fluid guides, and sensor mounts were 3D printed. The face seal was molded from soft, medical-grade silicone for skin-safe wearability.

    • Micro-pump integrated with tubing, valves, and seal ports
       
    • MCU (STM32F4) and BLE module (nRF52840) placed in removable control pods
